Not a friendly nor diversity friendly place. no bilingual E/S personnel. Front desk people not friendly nor understanding. Just to share an example. My mother (60 y/o) had an appt on 12/6/2013 and was given a slip saying so, attended her appt on the 12/6/13 and was told by the receptionist her appt had past. mother upset due to having to look for transportation from sunnyside to yakima and to be told she did not had an appt that day. I am planning to fax the appt slip to let them know they were the ones making the mistake. they did not bother to explain to mother about their mistake nor admit it. They told mother they could not understand what she was saying and to come back when she had some one to help her communicate. not friendly at all.

My 90 year old father recently had cataract surgery here and was pleased with the doctor. Unfortunately, the reception area is in the waiting area and there is no privacy - all discussions and phone calls to patients can be heard from anywhere in the waiting room. Post surgery the nurse came to answer my questions in the waiting room. This is a violation of HIPAA and results in a noisy waiting area. Lastly when a Spanish speaking person came in, the reception staff just kept talking in English - but louder. In an area with 40% Hispanics this is unexcusable.
