Like a medical doctor, a family nurse practitioner can order diagnostic tests like X-rays or lab work, manage your overall care, and serve as a primary care provider.

Dr. Scarbrough is dual licensed as a Chiropractor and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – allowing him to practice a certain degree of family medicine.
Emergency Care
In 2015, he attended Emergency Medical Technician school and started Paramedic school but changed to Nursing half way through. In 2019, he passed the NCLEX to become a Registered Nurse. He spent most of 2020 in the Emergency Department at Unity Hospital in Searcy, AR, during the start and peak of the Coronavirus Pandemic. In early 2021, he received his Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN), graduating with Distinction. He sat for the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Boards and is a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner in both Arkansas & Florida.

Colon Cancer
Tad opened Scarbrough Chiropractic Inc. in West Memphis, AR, in 2000. There he worked closely with a local radiologist, Dr. Scott Ferguson, and learned much more about imaging. In 2003, his dad was diagnosed with terminal colon cancer. Wanting to help his dad as much as possible, Tad sold his practice and moved home to help with the crop dusting service until his dad passed away in 2004.

In 2012, Dr. Scarbrough started working on his Board Certification in Chiropractic Functional Neurology by attending The Carrick Institute. He graduated from The Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies in 2015 with his Post-doctoral diploma in Clinical Neuroscience. In 2017, Dr. Scarbrough passed the neurology board exam given through the ACNB to become a Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologist. There are less than 500 chiropractic neurologists worldwide and Dr. Scarbrough is the only chiropractic neurologist in Arkansas.

When we send you for your MRI, the facility will give you a copy of your MRI on a disc to take to the specialist and will fax us a copy of the report. We will then call you to set up a time to review it, as well as send you to whichever appropriate specialist that you are wanting to be seen by.
