I first visited the Emporium 2 yrs ago and was completely and totally awed, and when I mentioned it to a friend, she gasped and said, "Oh, my gosh, I've been there too!" It's a gorgeous large gift shop with a most impressive section of Christmas ornaments that I've never even seen before and I've been in every gift shop, Christmas or otherwise, all over Cape Cod which is saying something. Well worth the trip, and a couple or cool lunch places so you can shop and get right back to Manhattan or wherever before dark. We are planning a trip from Poughkeepsie within the next month.
