Jaime chose to become an acute care nurse practitioner because it combined her interest in healthcare with a focus on the patient and their experiences. She went on to become a nurse practitioner after being a registered nurse for 10 years. She has worked in a variety of settings at all stages of care, but critical care has always been her favorite.Jaime credits her husband, a retired army veteran, as her biggest influence. He embodies the army values of loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity and personal courage. She tries to live her life with the same values as her husband. Jaime enjoys coming to work because of the variety of experiences she has each day, she loves that she learns something new every day.Outside of work, Jaime volunteers at her kid’s school. She loves to spend time with her family while at the beach, hiking, exploring new cities and trying new activities.I enjoy the opportunity to provide care that can help ease suffering and help patients heal.
