- Medical Weight LossThe neck and the chin are among the last areas of the body to show weight loss. What’s more, excess submental fat is notoriously difficult to remove through dieting and exercise alone. For some clients, this full appearance in the neck is simply hereditary. Neck liposuction can contour and refine the lower face, removing stubborn pockets of fat from the lower cheeks, jowls, jawline, chin, and neck. Dr. Fechner takes meticulous care to ensure that neither too much nor too little fat is removed so that your results look natural and effortless.
- Primary CareDr. Fechner has safely performed hundreds of Finesse Lifts™. First, he carefully determines if a patient is a suitable candidate to have the Finesse Lift™ performed in the office; as many as 98% of Dr. Fechner’s patients are. If in doubt, Dr. Fechner will work closely with the patient’s primary care physician to agree on safety measures or to discuss what can be done in preparation to maximize a person’s health. If there are unanswered questions or doubts, the procedures can be easily performed in an outpatient hospital setting under conscious sedation avoiding general anesthesia.
- Smoking Cessation“But are we missing an opportunity to provide an even greater service to our patients? By actively engaging them in the smoking cessation process, we not only bring them closer to their cosmetic surgery goals, but we also aid them in achieving a healthier lifestyle.”

This group of ten founding members, delegated authority by the above organizations, was established as the ABOto.
- NeurologyAn independent organization that set forth standards for the evaluation process of medical specialties is called a “Board”. - General SurgeryDr. Fechner strongly believes that the ultimate goal of humanitarian medical missions should be to empower the local health care profession to provide the services to patients in their communities. This is in contrast to services that make communities abroad rely on surgical and non-surgical services provided by teams of American physicians that travel to the respective country. These conventional missions play an important role for the particular patients served but their long-lasting impact on the society may be limited. For instance, the Association of Midwives of the Mam Area (ACAM) is a unique effort. Goals of ACAM include the promotion of mother and infant health and improve the status of community based Mayan midwives with their rich traditions and experience. Therefore, Dr. Fechner serves as one of the Board of Directors of ACAM. Please visit the ACAM website ( http://www.mayamidwifery.org/ ) and consider a donation.
- Wound CareRight after your surgery – After having undergone surgery with anesthesia, you will need someone to drive you home. Treatments available for face rejuvenation include facelift in all its variations offered by Dr. Fechner, eyelid lift, browlift, skin rejuvenation, facial volume enhancement, dermal fillers and Botox. Some patients may require one procedure, others a combination of multiple treatments. No matter what the treatment plan includes, the outcome goal remains the same: a natural appearance without signs of medical or surgical intervention.
- Brow LiftAging skin and tissue on the brow can create an angry, tired, or aging look. A brow lift smooths deep lines, wrinkles, and creases, while lifting the brows to restore a youthful, refreshed, vital appearance.
- Eyelid SurgeryEyelid surgery, when performed by our highly-skilled plastic surgeon, makes it possible for you to appear far younger, refreshed, and rejuvenated – and completely natural.
- LiposuctionExcess fat beneath the chin coupled with poor definition in the jawline separating the face and the neck can make a person appear much heavier than they actually are. Aging, genetics, and weight gain may all play a role in augmenting submental fullness. As a safe, popular cosmetic solution, neck liposuction can be used to sculpt and streamline the area beneath the chin, creating a firmer, leaner appearance.
- Breast Augmentation
- RhinoplastySurgically reshaping the nose, or rhinoplasty (sometimes also called “nose job”), aims at carefully matching the nasal appearance with the other features of the face. - Face LiftFacial fat grafting in Boston plays an important role in Dr. Fechner’s facial rejuvenation program. As a minimally-invasive procedure, facial fat grafting can dramatically improve one’s facial appearance. For fat transfer to enhance the face, a comprehensive understanding of facial esthetics and age-related changes are paramount. In the past, an aging face was typically resolved with a facelift.
- Neck LiftWhen it comes to your neck, it is almost impossible to hide the signs of aging. A neck lift is a surgical procedure that restores a more youthful look to the neck and jawline. If you struggle with sagging, wrinkled neck skin, vertical bands, or a saggy jawline, Dr. Fechner offers arguably the best neck lift Boston has to offer with a remarkable improvement in your overall look.
- BlepharoplastyAlthough the upper eyelids may also be affected, the lower eyelids are most susceptible to problems after lid surgery. This knowledge makes the wary plastic surgeon especially cautious and diligent in performing blepharoplasty surgery.
- Nose SurgeryAnyone who is unhappy with the outcome of their first nose surgery can pursue a revision procedure, provided they have waited about one year for the swelling to die down. Most clients seeking revision nose surgery are struggling with one of the following...
- OtoplastyOur otoplasty in Boston is a procedure designed to “pin-back” prominent ears. Protruding ears have been given many different names (“bat ears,” “lop ears,” “cup ears,” and others) to differentiate between several more unusual anatomic conditions.
- Scar RevisionThe approach to revising scars of the face is based on understanding of natural wound healing and the ability of the facial plastic surgeon to modulate and influence this process for an optimal outcome. Comprehensive scar revision surgery first requires a thorough evaluation of the area of concern and then a delineation of treatment options.
- Body ContouringYour body may have developed fatty deposits that no amount of diet or exercise can resolve. Thankfully, the latest generation of body contouring systems makes it possible to trim away these difficult fatty deposits on tummy, thighs, buttocks, back, or other area.
- Laser ResurfacingIn contrast to conventional treatments like laser resurfacing, collagen induction therapy is non-ablative and it therefore can achieve its natural results without burning or removing the superficial epidermis.
- Cosmetic SurgeryWhen Dr. Fechner selects anesthesia for facial cosmetic procedures, patient safety is of utmost importance. In addition, patient comfort and privacy play a role when cosmetic surgery is planned.

- Forehead LiftA sagging or drooping forehead, upper eyelids and eyebrows can make a person appear aged, frustrated, or exhausted. If you are experiencing these and other aesthetic concerns with your forehead, a forehead lift is the ideal surgical procedure to permanently smooth out the forehead skin while restoring your eyebrows and eyelids to their natural, more neutral position. Forehead lifts can also be combined with a hairline lowering procedure to bring your hairline down to a more aesthetically pleasing position.
- Skin CancerSkin cancer (skin carcinoma) is the most common cancer. Approximately 20% of Americans will develop cancer of the skin at one point in their lives.
