- SinusitisDr. Thacker is originally from Wisconsin. She graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin with a BS in Biology and Spanish in 2002, then attended the Medical College of Wisconsin and graduated with honors in 2007. She completed residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in 2012 at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She then obtained advanced endoscopic sinus surgical training at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton. She pursued additional education in Plant-Based Nutrition through Cornell University. She is double board certified in both Otolaryngology and Lifestyle Medicine. Dr. Thacker incorporates evidence-based lifestyle intervention with traditional evidence-based conventional approaches to treat patients. She primarily practices rhinology (nose and sinus disorders) with interests in chronic sinusitis, laryngopharyngeal reflux, sinus surgery, nasal airway surgery, office-based procedures, and therapeutic lifestyle intervention.
- Primary CareBe aware that most referral authorizations are good for a certain number of visits and have an expiration date. Please make sure your primary care physician gives enough visits to our practice. It is your responsibility to contact your primary care physician prior to your appointment to obtain the referral information.
- Ear InfectionsIt is important to note that you can still have the surgery even if you have an ear infection. (Remember – if you did not have a problem with infections you would not need the surgery.)
- Emergency CareRob Moran is board-certified physician assistant (PA-C) and has been with the practice since 2013. He received his B.A. in psychology at Washington College, in Chestertown, MD. He was trained as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and worked on a Boston ambulance company as well as 9-1-1 medical response in his home town. He has also worked as an EMT at the Emerson Hospital emergency department. Pre-medical training was completed at Tuft’s University and University of Massachusetts, Lowell. In 2012 he graduated from Northeastern University’s Physician Assistant program and shortly after joined AOHNS.

We also request that you obtain medical records (including X-rays, CT or MRI scans, etc.) from your referring health care providers and bring them with you if possible.
- Robotic SurgeryDr. Du was born in China but mainly grew up in Victoria, British Columbia and Northern California. She graduated from Williams College Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Biology and Political Science. She attended the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and graduated with honors. She did her residency training in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. She subsequently pursued fellowship training in advanced head and neck surgery and facial reconstruction at UNC-Chapel Hill where she also earned a Masters in Public Health. She practices general otolaryngology with interests in head and neck tumors (including robotic surgery), disease of the thyroid, parathyroid and salivary glands as well as reconstruction after Mohs surgery.
