charter is dishonest , the payment center supervisor is rude and down right abusive , her attitude is that of a thug , he had to miss the class on customer service , why the hell would charter allow this type of person to supervise the payment center on grafton st . worcester ma. unless charter has the same attitude , going to switch to internet streaming same shows , tons of movies and no bad customer service , see ya charter only a matter of time before your cable tv side is out of business

Failing terribly since recent conversion. Have not had working cable/internet in 3 of the past 4 weeks. No Saturday appointments for repairs. Pricing is high and higher-service is poor performing. Very frustrating

I checked the Charter web site to find out their office hours since I wanted to swap out cable boxes. The hours of operations states 9-5 on Fridays. I got to the office and the line was out the door. Turns out the posted hours are 10-5 and the doors had just opened. So, when I got to the counter I asked if the web site was correct. The clerk said that 9-5 was for the "office" not the service area. Now I read really well and didn't remember reading separate hours for an office and asked her again. She insisted that was what was posted on the web site. Sure enough I got home and I had read it correctly. Only hours posted are for hours of operation. Nothing separate for an office and service area. So, Charter please update your web site. I must admit even with the line out of the door the service was fairly fast, hence my three stars.

Charter is the worst! I was involved in a fire Oct 2011....Total loss and i was not responsible for fire. I contacted them Oct 2011 and was told the fee would be waived. I continue to get a collections notice....I have submitted fire reports..and personally gone to office to resolve. as directed by CSR. Here it is 11 months later and it's still not resolved! Charter....have a heart.

It seems that everyone "hates" their cable or internet provider for one reason or another. We have been with Charter since they arrived in Northborough. Their customer service at times has been poor, I was in a chat session for 45 minutes and with 3 agents before I got the info I needed, But I have to say, the agents at the Worcester location really tried to resolve my issue today. We are moving and want to keep email until we get established. But, it will cost $11.99 per month. Way too much. I will notify people and/or change my email to an account that I got for free. I have to commend the service techs that have come to resolve problems, the online support is marginal at best. My complaints are poor quality video, HD channels that pixelate or freeze or otherwise become unwatchable. Lately though there has been an upgrade that may have improved the HD issue. I have 20MB internet service and it is fast and reliable. If you have a choice switch, but Charter is improving.
The worst company I have ever dealt with. The service is horrible. I am looking for another phone and cable company to switch to.

No stars!!!! Been on hold 45 minutes now . . . have tried calling on cell phone while land line on hold, can't get a live person, can't get any help!!! Internet working . . . email is not! I'm at a standstill work-wise.

My experience with charter was the worst. I made my payment and was told that everything was all set, the next morning I awoke to no service. Then I was told I would have to wait 4 to 5 business days. Nobody would help me. Especially there supergiants who are totally useless.

A nightmare! We have been left without service for a week now. Customer service and tech support are clueless and unhelpful. Stay away from Charter or you'll deeply regret.
Worst experience ever! I moved across the same town and asked to have a second receiver box installed. When the tech tested the line he said the resistance across the wire was too low and couldn't install the box. Then they started charging me a $5 fee every month for a receiver I never got. Corporate escalations is an unholy disaster since they refuse to issue credits. Made appointments three times to conduct an equipment audit, three times they were no-call and no-show. When pressed for a reason why they simply said a fifteen minute audit wasn't worth their time. Then they tried to charge me the lost equipment fee. I have an ongoing complaint with the Better Business Bureau but Charter is actively ignoring them. Now I have contacted my town manager, my state senator, the AG office, and the cable company regulator for the state in a hope they will set things straight. Overall, horrible experience, and I can't wait to dump them and go to another service.

THE WORST!!!!!!!!! I was told by a charter agent that a balance was to be waived when I called to restart my service. They also said no one would need to come into the house. They did. and left and came back again I was not able to leave my house for almost the entire day..My cable was restarted at the end of Nov 09 on 12/8/09 I came home to no cable DISCONNECTED I called and was told I owed 136.39 The balance I was told would be waived this call center in the Phillipines could not tell me what this balance was from they just transferred me from one agent to the next I got disconnected multiple times. In total I spent almost 3hours on the phone that night. Now I am getting a collection notice from them!!! When I call the main corporate office in St.Luis I spoke to a Kimberly Z. And explained to her that I was told this amount was to be waived and if you look up the phone records for this call that is what will be confirmed That apparently takes to much paper work.. Get Direct T.V.

This is the worst excuse for a company ever. It took me months to get my credit back for the digital box then they tried to charge me for the modem I had already bought. This company is a scam, they will try to suck every cent they can out of you for what can only be referred to as a subpar product.

Awarded no stars in my book. Heard about a senior discount. Called the Worcester office and a woman said there was an 8% discount off the entire bill for seniors but you had to apply in person and show proof of age. Worth the hour drive for what I thought would be over $11 off my monthly bill only to be told by the supervisor it's 10% off the basic charge of cable only (amounting to $1.60) AND only if you're 65 or older. Need better training for office help, for sure!!

Charter Communications is TERRIBLE. They do not honor their plans and they randomly change services without notice. I DO NOT recommend them.

I am being generous with one star. Their customer service reps are rude. Is hanging up on customers part of the training for Charter? Can you ever speak to anyone in the United States? I have had several payments that were never posted, the money came out of my account but not applied to my bill and this was my problem to fix, they could care less. Charter is the worst!

One star is too high of a rating. If you sign up for charter it is your own fault. The absolute WORST customer service, tv and internet are intermittent at best - more often than not digital channels are not available. God forbid you have an issue - expect to spend at least 1 - 2 hours on the phone without resolution. Customer service reps are rude, condescending. Overall organization of the company as a whole is horrible. STAY AWAY!!!!

Horrendous. This is the only word that comes to mind when I think about this "company". Charter's internet has constant random disconnects with outrageously long down times. The lack of quality they provide for the customers cause me to question why they haven't been charged with fraud. Their "high speed" internet is a joke, their customer service is more shadier than a stranger in a back alleyway. Do not make the same mistake I have made, avoid these people like the plague.

Very disappointed with this company. Went into the Worcester office to change the name on the account, and to go over any package deals they may have. The lady behind the counter was rude, and was unwilling to work with me on setting up an account that would fit my needs. I have since cancelled the cable bundle and looking into Verizon. Thank you, unkind lady behind the counter, one less bill this month.

I ordered service two months ago and have had nothing but problems since. The initial installation services and charges reflected more than what I ordered and added services were added to the subsequent billing statement as well.To top it all off, the installing contractor's crew destroyed my existing (and still desired) primary satellite system and still has not replaced the destroyed equipment or reimbursed my ongoing monthly charges to that company.I am in the process of initiating legal action against this company.
