Founded in 1882, Wayne County Children Services, formerly known as The Children s Home, is a county department that offers adoption, foster care and volunteering services. The department provides therapeutic care, diagnostic, case management, and individual, group and family counseling services. It also investigates reports against child abuse and neglect. In addition, Wayne County Children Services organizes various fundraising events and operates an adoptive parents support group. The department organizes trips to amusement parks and art museums. It offers the Make-A-Wish program for children and families. Located in Wooster, Ohio, Wayne County Children Services additionally conducts adoption education and other related workshops.
