As a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the low-income population living in Wayne and Medina Counties, the agency has developed a strong network of supportive services that promote self-sufficiency.Throughout the years, Community Action has made many strides in order to increase its ability to achieve results. Staff members, the Board of Directors and countless volunteers have devoted a tremendous amount of time and effort to improve the services offered to clients. These efforts have cultivated new innovative solutions to the problems facing low-income people in the areas of child and family development, economic assistance and housing preservation.Today, Community Action Wayne/Medina continues to challenge issues regarding poverty. The self-help programs, food pantry, housing initiatives and educational opportunities offered by the agency serve thousands of residents in the service area. As an agency we concentrate our every endeavor towards significantly improving the lives of those in need.
