City Hall is operated under the government of the city of Woonsocket, R.I. It houses various administration, animal control, assessor, building, emergency management, engineering, finance, housing, water, human services, and community and economic development departments. It includes the offices of the city mayor and clerk. City Hall has an education department that operates several public schools that make use of advanced curriculum, eclectic instructional practices and technology for students and the community in which they live. It has a public works department that provides, operates and maintains utilities and infrastructural systems for the community. Additionally, City Hall offers a variety of services, including lodging, transportation, fire, police, library, arts and entertainment.
