Woodstock Elementary School, located in Woodstock, Ga., is a part of the Cherokee County School District. Established more than 100 years ago, it offers classes from preschool through grade six and enrolls more than 750 students. The school has special education teachers and a speech therapist who serve students with special needs. An intervention specialist, with expertise in helping children with reading difficulties, addresses the needs of students who need extra help in academic areas. The subjects cover core curricular areas, including language arts, science, mathematics and social science. Woodstock Elementary School encourages all students to participate in extracurricular activities, such as its band, student council, and sports, such as basketball, volleyball and softball.
