This hidden gem in Woodridge, didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere was filled with the sweet smell of conversations, bread and olive oil. Just walking in, gives you the feeling of a great evening with family and delectable food. We started with an appetizer of Antipasti (Italian sharing, flavorful plate, featuring prosciutto, whipped ricotta, roasted tomatoes, arugula salad and pesto made with walnuts and pine nuts. Served with oven-baked bread). A choice start with a glass of Sweet fragrant Chardonnay.
Our experience continued with grilled Chicken Bryan
(Wood-fire grilled and topped with goat cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, basil and our lemon butter sauce) and lentil soup.
The Chicken was a tad dry from grilling.
Fettuccine Wessie (Fettuccine Alfredo with sautéed shrimp, scallions, basil, garlic and mushrooms in our white wine lemon butter sauce) and fresh, crisp salad.
The kids were comfy with a variety of chicken tenders & spaghetti.
We ended the evening with a Tummy Tickling Tiramisu (Lady fingers dipped in liqueur-laced espresso, layered with sweetened mascarpone, Myers’s Rum and chocolate shavings) and an addicting SOGNO DI CIOCCOLATA "Chocolate Dream”
(A rich fudge brownie with chocolate mousse, fresh whipped cream and chocolate sauce)
So, if you’re looking to be wined and dined without breaking your budget, try Carrabba’s
The food is good and the service is too. The only issue is a cold Merlot wine versus room temperature, maybe due to a cold vase or glass. Sausages solo or with the food is not to be found. It just is not on the menu. Real Italians probably won't eat there, but its good for the rest of us! Ambience is above average, its casual and the attitude of the wait staff is great. The rigotoni was the best.
