If your looking for a good Mexican restraint in the downriver area, then look anywhere but The Blue Margarita. Its a tooth breaker experience eating their complementary chips. The good news is that if your teeth survive the chips, and you can sit through the wait staff doing nothing as you dig the parts of your tooth from the remnants of their chips as they watch you, The food that comes afterwards is very good, for post broken tooth food. Now, I have another wasted Saturday, after an all day crowning prep day last Wednesday...and $1051...already down the drain. and I thought the Pizza for 300 would be my most expensive meal of my life...boy I was wrong.

nice waitresses that are not owner related, food dinner service is very skimpy on meat for price, chimmies no way only 1/3 way meat, save your money for taco bell , pan fried tialapia, no pan they used a fryer, Ach, way over done , but nice chili rellnois, over priced for dinner service wait if you try the place go for lunch it would hurt so bad! And rice is instant bad really bad! nice steak carna estata, 2 ok, 2 bad dinners 50./50 chance fast service and clean

We live in the area and are so happy that we have a great Mexican restaurant in the area. Food is great, so is the service. The salsa and chips are awesome. Can't wait to go back.

I tried this place once and was back again 2 more times within a period of 2 weeks. I really enjoyed the food and found it very flavorful so I am surprised that people refer to it as bland. The salsa is different and less robust than most places but if you go for the hot stuff it's a little better. I have had the cheeze and onion as well as the chicken enchiladas, tostadas w/beef and bean and chicken (on another) which were really good. At first I thought the enchiladas were missing the sauce but they are dipped in sauce, not covered in it, and I was surprised how good it was like that. I would recommend going for ground beef over chicken on enchiladas and tostadas. The chicken is good but not nearly as good as the beef. The only things I didn't find too exciting were the beef taco (ground beef) and the beef burrito (pulled beef). I could see where, if this was what you ordered, you wouldn't be excited to go back. I have yet to try the margheritas.



BAD: I am a Mexican food phene!! If I can, I will go out for Mexican food. I used to go to the local place regularly but they closed down. THE PROBLEM IS: My husband hates Mexican food... and to get him to go out with me to a Mexican restaurant, they better have a burger and fries or something. Blue Margherita does. However, unfortunately this gets more complicated because he cannot have MSG/monosodium glutimate in his food. Most places we can just ask them to not put seasoning on the fries or burgers and they will accommodate. When I took him, our server told us that the fries were frozen pre-seasoned and they couldn't do them w/o seasoning. I asked her kindly to double check w/management and they, sure enough, were able to get him a burger and fries w/o seasoning. BUT when I called for a to-go order some time after that, they would not accommodate due to the same speal as before. I asked to speak to management to let them know that they had done it before and if they don't have the same ones now could they start to keep the non-seasoned in stock to accommodate. I explained to him my experiences with the last local M restaurant and that I'd probably be in there regularly. They would not accommodate.... Then when I ordered my food and my husband came home, it was missing the beans and rice (which I love) and needless to say HE HAD TO GO ELSEWHERE FOR HIS FOOD--INCONVENIENCE. Also, whenever I have been there and asked for substitutions on anything else (i.e. 1 chicken and 2 cheeze and onion enchiladas) they were very hesitant about doing it.



HERE'S THE DEAL. IF THEY COULD BE MORE ACCOMMODATING THEY MIGHT HAVE GOTTEN A 5 AND MAYBE I SHOULD HAVE GIVEN THEM A 3.

The food has no flavor. Customer service was terrible at best. The rice was worst I ever had.

I heard the owner owns another establishment in Mexican Village. I love Mexican food and drinks so I tried Blue M and was very happy. I've been there three times since and I think it's the best Downriver. Tortilla shells are fresh and the cooking reminds me of Mexican Village - a lot of flavor. I love their salsa garden fresh with a taste of cilantro and the chips are warm. The price is cheaper than any one around. Similar restaurants usually charge two people $25; we can eat dinner w/sodas for $17 at Blue M. One thing I noticed is they include sodas & refills in their meal price instead of jacking another 2 bucks a piece like everyone else. The bar area is also a nice place to hang. I've gone there to socialize and tried the Blue Margarita. It was good and reasonably priced at $5 for a big glass.

Food is not that good. Salsa more like water.
