The parent company holds more than 500 suspended particle device technology patents worldwide. It offers technology solutions under the SPD-Smart brand. The parent company s SPD-Smart products are used in the architectural, aerospace, automotive and marine industries. Its technology is applied in the manufacturing of aircraft windows, cabin doors, skylights, sunroofs, visors, mirrors, hatches and interior partitions. Additionally, the SPD-Smart products are used of producing advertising signage, point-of-purchase displays, billboards, road signs, goggles and appliances. Research Frontiers has provided licenses to various companies, including American Glass Products, Asahi Glass Company, Avery Dennison, BRG Group, Craftsman Fabricated Glass, Custom Glass Corporation, Film Technologies International and GKN Aerospace Transparency Systems, as well as Hitachi Chemical Company, Polaroid Corporation and SmartGlass International.
