ZERO STARS! ! ! I must say I was very disappointed with my service appointment for a chimney sweep and video camera inspection. It wa scheduled for 2- 5 pm on a Wed. at least 3 weeks in advance. The technician arrived the day before the appt (Tues). He called the house to say that he was outside but no one was home to let him in. We returned the call to say that he was a day early. He was at the wrong house.I took leave the next day to stay home for the appt. I called at 1 pm to confirm that the tech would be arriving beteen 2 - 5 pm and was confirmed. At 4:20 pm, i called again stating my concerns that the tech had not arrived. A customer service rep returned my call to say that the tech was stuck on another job and would not be able to perform our service as it would be dark. They offered a $20 discount which I declined stating that this was not even a 10% discount and did not in anyway compensate me for the time I had to take off from work. We went with another company.
They were competatively priced, they showed up on time--and from what I can tell--did a good job of cleaning our chimney. They also kept the house clean by preventing ash from billowing into the living area. We had two flues cleaned, one that goes to a high-efficiency wood burning insert, and one that is a regular wood burning fireplace.
