The Department of Social Services is one of the departments administered by the Prince William County in Virginia. The department provides support programs to senior citizens and patients suffering from Alzheimer s disease. It operates a juvenile day reporting center that offers counseling, life skills classes and support services to juvenile offenders. It also provides a community residential program that includes individual and family counseling; in-house educational activities, referral services, and transportation and recreational facilities. The services offered by the department include foster care programs, employment assistance, economic development activities, case management and crises intervention, and adoption services.
