  I have been a regular patient at Dr. Lobo's for over two years now and am extremely satisfied with the service provided. Dr. Lobo is very professional and has a great personality. My dental hygienist, Melissa, is a talker (with a great sense of humor) and will keep you informed about most anything and everything going on in her world. She makes the whole teeth-cleaning experience whiz by. And then there is the office staff at the front desk. Kathy and Terri are always friendly, pleasantly smiling and, in my case, never fail to ask me how my dogs are doing. I actually enjoy going to the dentist.
• Fluoride Treatment
  Your dentist or hygienist will also administer a fluoride treatment that is one of the major protective factors to manage and prevent tooth decay occurrence and its progression. Professional applied fluoride is effective in the reduction of tooth decay by thirty percent. Fluoride treatments in our office are not limited to children. Adults benefit from topical fluoride immensely. Some patients with high tooth decay rates, root exposure or tooth sensitivity will also be given a prescription for fluoride use at home.
• Dental Sealants
  To help aid in the prevention of tooth decay, sealants will be applied to any non-restored biting surface on the back teeth. This means that adults can benefit from sealants being applied to their teeth, as well as children.

  There are two types of tooth veneers procedures available. While each work effectively, there are advantages and disadvantages to each procedure dependent upon your objectives and commitment to the processes. The type of procedures available should be discussed with your cosmetic dentist, and they will recommend the most appropriate tooth veneers procedure for you.
• Crowns
  If you have large visible old silver fillings when you speak or smile, teeth with large cavities, cracked or discolored teeth, uneven shaped teeth, spaces between your teeth, rotated or mal-aligned teeth, severely worn down teeth, crowns may be the best solution for you. Crowns are full coverage restorations that are natural looking and give the appearance of a perfect smile.

• Root Canal Treatment
  In the past, a tooth with a diseased or infected nerve had to be removed. Nowdays, in 95% of cases, root canal treatment can treat disorders of the nerve/pulp of the tooth resulting in saving the tooth and keeping your natural teeth for a lifetime. Factors such as trauma(physical blow to a tooth or constant striking to a tooth from the opposing jaw), physical irritation(caused by a very large filling or deep decay) or a cracked/fractured tooth can contribute to a need for root canal treatment.

• Deep Cleaning
  A more advanced form of gum disease is known as periodontal disease. This is when bacteria, plaque, and tartar are present in the pocket or space between the tooth and gums. If left untreated this can destroy gum tissue and bone leading to recession, swollen and bleeding gums, bone loss around the tooth, and eventual tooth loss. A procedure by your dentist or hygienist called scaling and root planing (deep cleaning) is done to remove the bacteria and prevent bone loss and subsequent tooth loss. In some severe cases, you may have to see a gum specialist called a periodontist to treat the periodontal disease by surgical procedures.

  If you have multiple missing teeth or no teeth, a partial or complete denture is the solution for you. It takes four appointments from start to finish to receive your new dentures. There are many options for dentures today such as valplast that are flexible and acetyl and acrylic that are rigid. Depending on your bite and esthetic need, your dentist will pick the right type of denture material for you. You no longer have to wear metal partial dentures with unaesthetic metal clasps that show when you smile. With advancements in technology and dental materials today, you can have dentures that are comfortable, natural and more lifelike than ever before.

  Your dentist will send you to a specialist either a periodontist or an oral surgeon who will evaluate the amount of bone present in the space and determine if you are a candidate for implants. It is important to have healthy gums before an implant is placed so that there is enough firm tissue to surround an implant and give a good esthetic result. If you have a medical condition such as diabetes it needs to be controlled before treatment begins. Otherwise, the success of the implant can be compromised.

  Veneers are very thin pieces of specially-shaped porcelain or plastic that are glued over the front of your teeth with little or no anesthesia needed. Veneers can perfectly match the shape, size, color, and translucency of your teeth. They can also be selected to be a lighter shade so that your teeth are whiter than before. In many cases veneers may be a quick way to improve the appearance of crooked teeth without the need to use orthodontics.
• Invisalign Orthodontics
  Invisalign clear braces are the newest way to correct many dental problems that used to require years of orthodontic work with metal bonded to your teeth. Invisalign clear braces use a series of clear plastic aligners to straighten and space teeth correctly. Invisalign clear braces solve almost all of the same problems traditional braces do, but they are clear, so no one will know you're wearing them unless you tell them. The aligners are also removable so that you can eat what you want and brush and floss effectively.
• Braces
  Metal braces are the most common type used today. They are made of high-grade stainless steel sometimes in combination with titanium. Today's metal braces are smaller, more comfortable and more attractive. Metal brackets are very strong and can withstand most types of treatment. Metal brackets tend to be less expensive than other types of brackets.
