Bob Maltese and his family have been offering top quality in-ground and above-ground pools & spas as well as a complete line of products and services for over 36 years. We are located on Route 17 South in Wood-Ridge, NJ - (in the heart of the Meadowlands). We can repair any part of your filtration system or replace the component if it is beyond repair. We also offer complete upgrades on filter systems. In the life of any pool there comes a time where it sometimes makes more sense to replace a system rather than repair the system. Replacing a complete system can give your pool a new life and can also be an energy saver due to improvements that have been made in efficiencies over the years. You can also upgrade your pool with a Heat Pump or a Salt Chlorine Generation System. You can even add remote control to your pool.

Have only received excellent service from Maltese, we usually use them for routine pool maintenance in the summer, but have also used these guys for a small renovation project as well.
Bob was very helpful and creative in getting our backyard to the paradise it is now. He went out of his way to come in at budget and on time as well. He is an honest and trustworthy guy. He'll do what he says. I recommend him highly. If you're looking to create or re-create a great pool experience, give Maltese Pool and Spa a call.

I had four different bids to redo my pool. Bob came by and took a look at my pool and told me exactly what i needed to hear. Most other pool contractors will do precisely what you want; irregardless of whether or not it is aesthetically pleasing. Bob has a good eye for form and tailored the pool to fit my backyard. His designer eyes knew how to change the decking structure, and the resulting lines of the pool/decking transformed my backyard into a Mediterranean retreat.
I'm so happy we found Maltese Pool. Not only are they extremely professional, they’re such a nice guys! Truly seems to care about clients and making them happy. Our pool is always crystal clear when they leave and there are never any issues. Huge relief! I highly recommend their services.
I called Maltese yesterday to see if they'd be able to come fix and clean my pool before this Friday. They were able to make it today! It only took them two hours, and it was done! They didn't even leave a mess, or anything! my pool looks better than before we moved in!!! I am so happy, and it's so much less stress on my shoulders with my family coming in this weekend. We bought our house knowing the pool was going to need some major work. Because we had used Maltese at our last house, we called them to do the pool renovation project for our new pool. In a matter of a few weeks, they turned our swamp into a country club oasis!
I love our new spa! Maltese did a fantastic job on our renovation project. I absolutely love the quality time I spend in it with my 18 year old son. It is the only time that I get to quietly spend with him. Thank you. I don't know what I would of done without it. My aches and pains in my knee are completely gone too thanks to the new hot tub.
We recently had Maltese do a small renovation project to our pool. The concrete around the pool was starting to crack really badly so we had them remove and replace the concrete decking around the pool. It did not take as long as expected and looks just great. I look forward to them opening my new pool soon!
No surprises, no problems, if they see something that needs to be fixed they handle on the spot or the same day.... sometimes the guy is here 2 hours sometime 30 minutes... they seem to do whatever it takes.
First, they recommended the correct sized filter for my system, and talked me through the pluses and minuses of the different options. The other places tried to sell me something much bigger than what I needed.
We had Maltese add a Jacuzzi to our backyard. We also had them design it in a way so a waterfall would come out of the Jacuzzi and fall into the pool. As it turns out this is becoming more a common design, my husband thought he was being unique. Either way, the final product came out beautifully and Maltese could not have been any easier to work with.
Maltese has been very helpful to us. Our yard literally looks like heaven and I love not having to stress about our pool. Thanks!
We have Maltese maintain the pool and spa areas at 3 of our apartment complex locations. I know the spa areas are in good hands with Maltese, we have been working with this company for years now. The guys are always prompt and if there is ever a problem we are alerted to it. Keep up the great work!
We hired Maltese Pool and Spa to design the perfect backyard and front yard for our house. These guys are just incredible. The designers have a keen insight into design and structure. They are very patient and explain everything and best of all was the workers were all very kind and professional.

We paid 3-4 different companies to design our backyard, however, none of them could come up with a design that we liked. After being referred to us by one of their former clients, we called Maltese Pool & Spa and they sent someone out to help us try to come up with a backyard design. They came up with a design that we loved. We hired them in October 2011 to build our new pool, and they completed everything on time & on budget.
Everyone I dealt with at Maltese was very nice & extremely professional. I have told them that they can bring potential clients over at any time to see their work. I used to hate the summer... Not anymore!!!
