The Dairy Farmers of America is a dairy marketing cooperative that serves and is owned by more than 18,000 producers and farmers in over 45 U.S. states. The cooperative specializes in formulating and packaging shelf-stable dairy products. It employs nearly 4,000 individuals and exports products worldwide. Founded in 1998, the cooperative produces American and Italian cheese, coffee creamers, and in-can sterilized infant and adult nutrition products. It also offers nonfat dry milk and dehydrated products. Borden, The Big!, Keller's and other private-label brands are part of the cooperative. The Dairy Farmers of America has a technical center in Springfield in Missouri.
