I live in Winthrop and this little drug store is really a town landmark. The store still has the old fashioned fountain and they serve milkshakes, coffee, icecream, etc. Everyone is known by name, and the pharmacist really takes a special interest in the needs of his customers. Entering this store is like taking a stroll back in time. I have been going to Brown's for over forty years now and I am so proud that my town has this old fashioned drug store. It is the only one that I know of still existing with the old fashion soda counter and the individualized attention to their customers.
