Parks and Recreation is one of the departments that operates under the government of the city of Winters, Calif., which also operates administration services, finance, redevelopment, public works, finance and community development departments. The department offers a variety of recreational and leisure activities for individuals. It organizes youth basketball leagues, day camps, field trips and picnics. The department provides various after-school programs. Parks and Recreation maintains an amphitheater, community center and several city parks. The department conducts various arts and crafts, dance and sports activities. In addition, it organizes a variety of swimming and water aerobic programs for adults.
