The mission of Our Children’s of Winter Haven is to offer exceptional education students a sense of belonging and the opportunity to reach their personal aspirations through participation in a therapeutic and academic environment in order to become a productive member of society. Currently, Our Children’s of Winter Haven has a rapidly growing student population consisting of 175+ students from 3 yrs through 12th grades. Our students span a range of exceptionalities, including mental, physical, and emotional disabilities. Each student’s program is determined by his developmental level; classroom time is split between group sessions, small group activities, and therapy, as determined by the student’s needs. These classroom skills are frequently rewarded through an ongoing system of positive behavior management using behavior analysis. Our Children’s also provides extra resources for students who have limited verbal abilities, and for students with severe medical challenges.
