General Info
Forsyth Academy is a charter school that teaches more than 690 students in kindergarten through eighth grade. It is authorized by North Carolina State Board of Education and operated by National Heritage Academies. The academy works under the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. Forsyth Academy s core curriculum includes language arts, science, math and social studies. It provides various parental involvement opportunities, including playground duties during recess, shelving books in the library, chaperoning field trips and helping in planning the school carnivals. The academy maintains a library that provides a selection of reference books, archives, biographies, databases, encyclopedias, newspapers and magazines. Established in 1999, Forsyth Academy supports several community service programs and is located in Winston-Salem, N.C.

I am sad to give the school a one star because in the past I have given five stars to Forsyth Academy. My child has been at Forsyth Academy since Kindergarten, and I have enjoyed the school up until my child's fifth grade teacher. She made it a difficult year for my child. It got so bad to the point I had to call the headquarters at Michigan. I am sad to say, but Forsyth Academy is not the same after losing some of it's good teachers and good principals.

My child has been enrolled at Forsyth Academy for two years starting in K. She is doing very well. The school is great. The staff and teachers are very nice and friendly.There are plenty of ways you can volunteer also. The students wear uniforms and they also have a moral focus program.

Wonderful K-8 public school. Staff very knowledgable and teachers are great! Call them today for a person tour of the school.
