She has served as chair of the Real Property Law Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association and on the MSBA Board of Governors and Assembly, the Board of Directors of Minnesota Continuing Legal Education, the Third District Ethics Committee and the Lawyers Professional Responsibility Board. Real estate lawyers issue opinions of title to real estate after examining abstracts of title records, and title companies issue insurance on real estate titles. Real estate lawyers also assist property owners in correcting title defects and resolving property disputes.
