When SSIMED Corporation began in 1991 with a staff of 13, the company served 50 physicians that were already running their offices on practice management software. Today, the company serves more than 2,000 providers, which includes a variety of solo private practices, large specialty groups and hospital-based practices, and provides flexible software solutions to the health care industry. All of SSIMED s software is designed to make the business end of its clieints work easier, from fitting patients in for follow-up appointments to making sure claims are coded correctly. In addition, the company offers medical billing, application hosting and Office of the Inspector General compliance services. SSIMED Corporation is based in Windsor, Conn.
