General Info
A child's first step away from home deserves a safe place in the community where they can find a warm smile, encouraging words, loving hugs and lots of fun and laughter from the people entrusted with their care. We pledge to provide this level of care and nurturing for your child. We further promise to earn and maintain your trust! Our experienced and educated staff receives regular training and support in the developmental care of children, and teachers are held accountable by their peers, the management staff, and more importantly YOU and your CHILD! The safety and cleanliness of our facility are also of the highest importance. Be assured that your child will be cared for by our qualified teachers in a safe and clean environment, and protected by our state-of-the-art security camera system! We strive to form this partnership to enrich the social and educational teachings you have already begun. We respect diversity and encourage all children to participate and grow to their best potential, and to become unique and confident individuals through independently adapted and developmentally appropriate early childhood programs.

I absolutely LOVE all the teachers, but the management needs a clean sweep, or there needs to be NEW owners. The current manager/director/whatever her official title is, Shelly, is only worried about money and not the well being of the children. BEWARE! This is so sad, as my children were forced to no longer attend due to the fact Windmill was not correctly billing for my daughter and they were not paid by CCAP because of it. The owner decided all of a sudden to just STOP taking CCAP altogether because she did not see any profit in it. Which in turn created multitudinous conflicts and unnecessary circumstances for all the families affected. How do you force a child out of a program they have been in for years and made so much progress in, and not have any empathy about it????? OH! because MONEY! Our options were to pay full price @ $283 per week for daycare and afterschool care, or part ways. It is really stressful and such a disservice to a child to kick them out of a day care center because you, the owner, cannot bill correctly This is not the family's fault. ESPECIALLY when these children have attended Windmill for almost 2 years and it was the 1st place they knew upon moving here from across the country. KIDS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN MONEY! You can't just uproot children all the time and expect it not to negatively affect them. IT IS EXTREMELY SAD HOW ADULTS CAN BE SO GREEDY AND ENVELOPED IN MONEY SOMETIMES--IT BLINDS THEM TO WHAT IS REALLY IMPORTANT IN LIFE. Again, the teachers in this establishment are phenomenal! Just be wary of your finances with this place, and READ ALL THE FINE PRINT ON THE FORMS! They ask you to sign next to where it says they can discontinue child care at any time... BE CAUTIOUS because they will kick your child out when it benefits them! Also, the employee turnover rate should be proof enough in itself. **This was my experience during the 1st week of February 2018**

What a fantastic place! We just enrolled our children into the summer camp here and my kids are excited because they already love Windmill and the staff. I felt this would be a great choice for them this summer, the hours are convenient and several of there friends are going too.

Both my son and daughter have been going here for a couple years now and they absolutely love it. I am really impressed in the staff and how attentive, professional, and friendly they are. They interact very well with my kids and it is obvious because my kids always tell stories of what fun activities they did and it shows how they put in great effort in making it a fun environment for my kids.

Since management changed in late 2011 early 2012 the staff and management have went downhill and it is apparent they have no idea how to get themselves out. I had to pull my children out and stay home with them because of how much my children didn't want to go back there. No bullying policy, no explanation of what the plan is when dealing with an issue that a parent brings up. I just kept getting different responses from different people which were all awful answers that would insult anyone with common sense.
This is a very safe, very professional learning environment. My son goes to an afternoon Kindergarten program and loves is. I feel that all the staff give great attention to all the children, and makes sure they all get what they need. Danielle G.
We are very happy with the Windmill Child Enrichment Center in Windsor, CO. We've looked into other centers and day cares but nothing compares to Windmill. Others that may be cheaper are not as nice or clean. You really get a great deal and a lot of value for your money at Windmill.- Sue
we have been at windmill since it first open and had one child at that time. We have loved the windmill since day one and know we have a second child that attends windmill. I would never put my child in any other child care besides windmill. Thanks for the best 31/2 years. we love the windmill!!!!!!!
The staff is fabulous! We have been going to the Windmill for almost a year and we have had the same teacher the whole time! With past experiences in the day care field, both professionally and personally, this is RARE! Our child has learned so much and made many friends. The administrative staff has been open to suggestions and truly seem to care for their families. I would highly recommend the Windmill to anyone who wants a quality educational program for their child(ren).
My son used to attend another locally owned daycare center. It was the best decision I ever made moving him to The Windmill. He learned more there in two weeks than in a year at the other center. It is clean, the staff is experienced and truly cares about the kids. The toys and activities are educational. The extra enrichment activities are great. When you consider the fact the prices are comparable to the other daycare centers in town, there is just no comparison. The Windmill is hands down, the best place for your children!
