This pet store is sourced by Mid America Pets of Missouri. Puppy mill capital of this Country. Please Google "puppy mill" to see what you will be supporting if you buy a pup or kitten here. All pet store pups are mill bred pups. Their parents are born in a cage and stay there for life. Please research before buying a pup or kitten.Go to a reputable breeder or rescue one from a shelter.

This store in fact sells puppy mill pups from large scale breeding facilities in the mid-west. We obtained all of our info, (thanks to the Freedom of Information Act.) at the Animal Welfare Division in Augusta.Their pup supplier Lambriar Inc. has closed it s doors after 40+ years due to the economy and the pressure from animal advocates to stop puppy mill pups from going to all US pet shops. So when the store tells you they are licensed (some breeders are, most ARE NOT), they say they are USDA inspected (some are, some are not), the USDA only inspects with the guidelines of the Animal Welfare Act. Which are: the dog must have potable water and food. Can get out of the extreme elements, and their cage must measure 6 inches longer, taller and wider than the dog, not including it s tail. So will you buy a mill dogs pup? If you do, you sentence the parents to life in these sized cages.
