had heard a great deal about the place which was positive. we drive by the restaurant often because it is on the way to indianhead mt. ski resort int the u.p. the place has very little curb apeal so we never stopped. we kept hearing great reviews from folks we met at the ski area so we finally stopped in. wow fabulous food from burgers to steaks. childrens menu for our kids warm northwoods atmosphere with three fireplaces and a kids game room. more than we had hoped for and to top it of the owner played a fabulous piano. our new northwoods favorite

CAUTION: A WANNA-BE-FINE-DINING PLACE We had heard some mixed reviews, some nice so we stopped by on a Saturday evening. What a mistake!!!!The mushroom soup was ok, not the big rave we heard. But the worst part was the service/atmosphere! The place is very old and outdated, pretty tacky for my taste. It was very apparent that we were not " with the In-Crowd" while we were there. The owners were very friendly to what appeared to be their friends but didn't even acknowledge our table of six. The steak was ok, nothing that warranted the high price. We found it to be a Wanna Be Fine Dining place that really, really fell short.We will never dine there again...sorry.
