Provided by YP.comMy child loved her experience at Sneakers. She started school knowing a majority of the Kindergarten curriculum and that has set her apart. The Sneakers staff doubled as second family. I am so pleased with how much she learned there. They helped ease my fears about leaving her in a daycare while I went to work. I enjoy the personal feel of the center and the investment they took in my child. The center is bright and clean. I would recommend Sneakers to anyone looking for childcare.

Provided by YP.comThis place is horrible... not professional I worked here and its pretty much ran by two unprofessional people they treat the kids like trash and you can barley do anything with them Rodney is so cheap he doesn't want to spend money on anything for any activities, coworkers have to pay with their own money if they want to do something fun . They treat the coworkers like trash and don't appreciate any of them and their hard work. The reason I left was because another coworker was making horrible comments about the children's appearance, and etc. she made a nasty comment towards a kid and said he was a "ticking time bomb and he was gonna died" while he was in the lunch room and also said she would "shoot this nigger" (referring to me) an they didn't do anything about it. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! WOULD NEVER SEND MY CHILD HERE!!! (only care about the money)
I don’t place much clout in a disgruntled ex-employee post, but I would like to understand. The center is run by two unprofessional people? Could you clarify if that is in reference to the Director and his wife? If you are referring to his wife, please let me know why you feel the need to slander a person whom you’ve never met or had any interaction with and who doesn’t work on site. Unless you feel that doing administrative work, cleaning, and coming in on the weekend to do things for the center in addition to her full time career is unprofessional? Or did you mean the THREE management personnel in the office? Or were you just making up something? You also seemed to be fine with the environment until you were removed from it. You mentioned you left? Would you like to rephrase with a little more truth behind it? You are implying you officially resigned and left on your own accord? It was only terrible AFTER you departed? You are still friends with many of the staff members there, I’m sure they appreciate your uncalled for degradation of them too. You can keep these people in your personal life with no objections, but you will trash them at their jobs when you no longer work there? There are a lot of great staff members there who dedicate themselves to the children and genuinely care for their well-being and development. In regards to the money for activities: How much did you spend out of pocket on fun, for how many children, how many days? Are you aware that there are costs to running a business too? I can personally attest and provide receipts to things purchased for the children and their experience at the center. Many teachers have no problem taking project ideas to him with an estimated cost to get it approved. Then all they do is bring in a receipt and they are reimbursed for the cost of the supplies for the activity. Did you bother to do that? As far as disciplinary action on staff members. That is not something that is discussed with other staff members. He would not discuss disciplinary action taken against you to them either. If someone chooses to act unprofessionally based on their perceived assumptions, they are also responsible and are held accountable for their own actions. Disclaimer: I am the Director's spouse. I volunteer my time to the business. I also pay tuition for my child who has attended the center since she was one year old. I have also purchased things for the center on my own volition from my personal account. So no, I'm not in it for the money - neither is the Director. I believe in small businesses who genuinely care about the child and those who show their dedication to those children and their development. I respect and support the staff that is there and takes responsibility for the kids and their own actions to act professionally. I implore anyone seeking childcare to do their own research and site visits to evaluate what is best for their child and not rely simply on ex-employee rants over the long term quality staff that the center employs and the families who have been there for years with multiple children and entrust the center with their care.

Provided by YPmobileAs a parent whose child attends Sneakers, I can not say enough on how wonderful the directors/ owners, teachers and staff are. They have big hearts and truely care for the children and their parents. The educational set up is wonderful. Everything is organized and focused on the advancement of each child's peer group. The children also get individual attention and care. My child loves going to school. His language skills continue to improve and he is developing strong social skills. At age 2, he is singing the entire ABCs and has mastered shapes, colors and numbers. He has made many friends and even participates in a soccer program. The school is remarkably clean and health conscious. Rodney has developed a wonderful program that exceeds traditional daycare programs. I have no worries when my child is there. The staff communicates in a way to help parents stay connected and confident in the child's environment and growth. They have become family to us and we look forward to long relationship at Sneakers. I highly recommend checking them out!

Provided by YP.comRodney Torp is a very unorganized person. I would never take my child there. I highly recommend that you take your children somewhere else!
If one is going to make a negative comment without an individuals name or facts, that comment has no legs to stand on.
This is a great daycare facility. The director and all of his staff are very caring, patient and work closely with the children to help them have a great experience. My granddaughter attended the summer program this year and it was a truly great for her.
My son started at Sneakers when he was 6 months old. He was happy when I picked him up everyday and always wanted to go to his teacher(s) in the morning. Rodney, the Director, is wonderful!!! The staff goes out of their way to ensure every child gets the love and attention they need. I have been so happy with Sneakers and wouldn't think of bringing him anywhere else. I can go to work each day and not worry if he is getting the care he needs. As a teacher myself, I know and appreciate all of the hard work they put into their developmental activities for the children each day.

Our 3 year old son has been at Sneakers since it opened, first part-time now full-time. We feel so fortunate that Sneakers opened just when we needed it because we had looked at several places and were not finding what we wanted. We are extremely impressed with everything including all the activities he does - in the classroom and on the arena and soccer field, how much he has learned, how clean everything is, how secure the place is and especially how good the staff are. Our son loves his "school" and we love him being there.

This childcare is terrific. They have plenty of space for the children to play and have a well educated, trained staff. If you have a very active child, this is the place to go. They rollerblade, work on soccer skills and have a great way of teaching the basics, and they make it fun.
