As an artist I have been to many galleries: contemporary, modern, photo only, watercolors only, bad, good, etc I feel as if I have seen it all. Not so at Re-Gallery, where the motto of the gallery is sustainability. A beautiful concept in today's plastic manufacturing world. The tagline at Re-Gallery is "re-visioned, re-imagined and re-purposed artifacts made principally from reclaimed materials." Located on the corner of S. Cedros Avenue and Rosa St., Re-Gallery beckons you in with funky artifacts and re-appropriated materials. The sign, made from found and drift wood, hangs over the entrance, as an interesting golf club sculpture sprouts from the ground to the left. A funky sculpture, the clubs are wrapped together by pieces of laminated wood, in what looks like a cross between a knot and a tree stump.
