General Info
Dr. Michael Marcus, MD, is a graduate of Columbia College and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He did his training in adult and child psychiatry at the Massachusetts Mental Health Center, a Harvard residency program. Dr. Marcus has 30 years of clinical experience, lectures on psychopharmacology, and serves as an expert witness. He provides medication management as needed for patients in treatment with other therapists in his group as well as with therapists outside the practice. Most recently, he became a licensed Suboxone provider. He sees patients in both the Winchester and Boston offices.

Straight, to the point, very nice,
Virtual meeting was very convenient, and Dr. Marcus took the time to ask me about my background, upbringing, and history to make sure he was giving the proper diagnosis. He was a great listener, and we put together a plan that I'm excited to put into practice.
Asked several questions and provided some additional recommendations for treatment.
He is very friendly and easy to talk to and was patient despite my complicated situation
Although it was explained to me, I was not sure I was not sure how the connection would be initiated. I was unable to reach anyone in the office to confirm our appointment. I was anxious to not appear to miss the appointment, since that incurs a full office charge. The call started a few minutes late, which added to my anxiety.
From there things went much smoother. Dr. Marcus was warm, open, welcoming, hopeful, and confident.
One small point, it might have been better if Dr. Marcus had the letter from my previous Dr., but I understand how a patient relates their history is as important as the content.
Overall experience was very positive.
Asked a lot of questions, seems easy to work with.
He is a kind and helpful man who cares.

Dr. Marcus was very thorough in our discussion, following up on what I said. I felt comfortable that he understood my situation. Appreciated his input and am happy to have found a good doctor!
I had a 45 minute consultation with Dr. Marcus. He was easy to connect with and listened thoughtfully. I had an issue with my prescription and it was resolved within the hour via text message.
Dr. Marcus actually took the time to listen and trust me that I knew what medications had and had not worked for me over the span of my continuing care. I didn't feel guilty of judged for saying something didn't working and asking to try something else. After coming from the VA where I was just a number in a larger algorithm, I cried from relief when I got off the call. I'm so happy I went through with seeing Dr. Marcus.
