Dr. Vidyashankar B. Revan merged his practice with Family Allergy & Asthma in 2019 after 17 years as a solo Board-Certified Allergist. He completed his fellowship in Allergy & Immunology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Revan is a graduate of Bangalore Medical College in Bangalore, India, where he also completed a residency in Internal Medicine. He then went on to complete an additional Internal Medicine residency at the Detroit Medical Center through Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. After receiving his board certification in Internal Medicine, he worked as a Clinical Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine at the Wayne State University School of Medicine prior to pursuing a fellowship in Allergy & Immunology. As a physician certified by The American Board of Allergy and Immunology, he stays up-to-date with the most current scientific knowledge of new developments through the ABMS MOC® Maintenance of Certification program. In addition to seeing patients at his practice, he is on staff and has taught resident physicians at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, Ohio. Dr. Revan has authored papers in the field of asthma and has also authored a chapter in a textbook on food allergy. As a teaching physician has given talks on allergy and asthma topics to colleagues, trainees, and students in the medical field.
