The Newtown Square PA manufacturing plant has supplied crab cakes to the restaurant industry for over 35 years. Crab cakes are made from jumbo lump and super lump blue crab meat. Our crab cakes are made fresh blending the finest crab meat with the Captain's own spice mixtures, truly a "Taste of the Chesapeake". I live in the area so I really am lucky. They are lovely people and the food is great. Last year I gave a container of their New England Clam Chowder with my gift to everyone on my list.There is nothing like that soup on a raw,rainy day. The crab cakes are spectacular!
I stopped by Captain Chucks on my way home from a nearby location; I happened to look up and noticed the crab sign. Crabs cakes and seafood are my favorite dishes, especially when you can bite into lump crab meat with less filler. I purchased 4 crab cakes and 2 stuff shrimp and I must tell you, I shared the crab cakes and stuffed shrimp with my son and I only wished that I had purchased a whole tray. It was 3:45 PM and Captain Chuck closed at 4:00 PM. They are not open on Sundays, so I will make another trip back to this location on this coming week, the crab cakes melted in my mouth and the stuff shrimp were impecable. This is a fair price, I also saw the interview on Channel 6 which included one of the owners, Chuck. And yes Chuck, customer will want to come back! Thanks! Phyllis-New Castle DE

The crab cakes are the best I've ever eaten. The critters are not so good but yet not bad. I have always purchased these items at our church fundraiser. Unfortunately, I will no longer be doing that because at $5.50 per crab cake they are now out of my price range and they are small for the money.
