The Gang Alternatives Program is a nonprofit organization that works to prevent youths from joining gangs. The organization serves individuals in Watts, Wilmington, Lennox and Lomita in California. It offers gang awareness and prevention education programs for students in elementary and middle schools, as well as operates an outreach program for at-risk youths. The Gang Alternatives Program also provides referral and counseling services. The organization maintains graffiti removal and community cleanup services for areas around schools, parks, businesses and residences. In addition, it offers case management, after-school, and job training and development programs. The Gang Alternatives Program administers the Parent Project in English and Spanish.
