- Door Installation/ReplacementExtreme weather events, such as hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, and severe storms can cause extensive damage to homes. High winds, heavy rain, and flooding can result in roof damage, structural damage, and damage to windows and doors, leading to costly repairs or even the need for complete reconstruction.

- LandscapingHomes in fire-prone areas need to keep shrubbery down to a minimum. Xeriscaping – the art of reducing the need for irrigation by landscaping with different types of rocks and gravel – is an eco-friendly and fire-safe option.
- Window Installation/ReplacementInvest in exterior materials—such as windows and doors—that can survive the pressure and debris from 250-mph winds (the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s threshold for hurricane-resistant products).
- GuttersHigh velocity winds can rip materials right off your home and turn branches, building materials, rocks, and debris into dangerous, destructive missiles. Inspect your roof before and after every major storm to assess vents, gutters, and chimneys for heavy damage. Trim overhanging trees near your home: with 100+ mph winds, even healthy trees are at risk of storm damage. In general, tree branches should not be within six feet of your home.
- Garage Door Repair/ReplacementImpact-resistant garage doors typically have a steel or fiberglass veneer and are designed to withstand the impact of hurled objects. ‘Hurricane-proof’ doors feature a fortified steel track system and twist-resistant framework. You can also reinforce doors with a variety of do-it-yourself kits. In addition to the garage, investing in hurricane shutters not only offers extra protection, but also a discount from most insurance companies.
- SidingAfter a winter’s worth of weather abuse you may notice your white siding has taken on a yellowish hue, your home’s rich Pacific blue looks a little dull, your Spruce needs a little sprucing – the once vibrant siding on your house has begun to look dingy. Don’t worry this is perfectly normal and easily correctable.

- Residential Pressure WashingDirt, grime, soot and chalk. For general dirtiness all you’ll need is a bucket of soapy water – dish soap or common laundry detergent work well, a soft bristle brush and a garden hose. Apply the soapy mixture by hand and thoroughly rinse the siding with clean water from the garden hose. Avoid prolonged or high pressure rinsing of open ventilated areas and keep cleaning solution off surrounding fixtures and surfaces not scheduled for washing. NOTE: We do not recommend power washing vinyl or polymer siding as it can cause moisture intrusion, damage, and/or discoloration. Instead, we suggest using a house wash that connects to your hose. This is the simplest and most effective way to clean stubborn siding stains. A small amount of soapy water shouldn’t affect plants or shrubbery, but if you are concerned about plantings close to the house select a soap product without added perfumes, dyes or moisturizers. Before using, test a small amount of the solution on the plant and wait a few days to see if there are any effects.
