      In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Their mission was simple: create a fun and friendly atmosphere where the local community could enjoy huge portions of home-style cooking at a reasonable price. Today, we continue their mission at every Black Bear Diner across the country, as we passionately provide guests an outstanding experience.       Notably good service experience

      Not your typical ma and pa diner, Black Bear goes above and beyond to provide customers with a homy atmospher on top of their great food. You get your share for your price as well, as their foods come in abundance. Their homemade pies and cobblers are sweet and tart. Personally, I prefer their chef salad or garlic fries above their other foods. ~Zac Harmon, 17
