Its fleet service bureau is responsible for the maintenance and service of all departmental vehicles; efficient operation, service, placement and repair of departmental automotive equipment; and maintenance of necessary supplies. Nassau County Police Department s forensic evidence bureau collects and examines various evidences that are collected by departmental members. Its traffic safety section is responsible for accident-related analyses, traffic safety programs and the evaluation of the need for school and church crossings.
