I would never go there again. I was new there and the vet had to do blood work and x-rays on my dog. To make a long story short. I believe the vet did not follow protocal and had admitted it. He decided to do the xr-ays before the blood work and my 7 year old dog had passed away under the sedation. Blood work should always come first before you sedate an animal, especially if the dog is new to you.... My dog had high potassium level and if the blood work would have been done first, that would have been caught and my dog would have never had the xrays done and would still be alive today!!!
I want to Thank Pam who groomed my dog and cat she is wonderful thanks so much again

I have been a client for over a year now, I brought in a new puppy and I found out there's a new young doctor. Sadly I dislike him immediately as he was talking to me as If I had never had a dog before. He kept pushing a dental cleaning on a one year old puppy that required anesthesia. He repeated it to me 3 times, said he worked with preventive medicine. It costs well over 500$!!! I wish he had let me talk or asked me some questions instead of tring to scare me with his wording. Thankfully I have had enough pets in my life to know when someone is trying to make money of my love for the pet. I did not like that he took my dog away from me, all my life my dogs have been innoculated in front of me. I don't want to switch hospitals but I may need to as I don't want him treating my dog. The girls are lovely though very caring and knowledgable.

I really wanted to like this vet but I agree with the one write up about the front desk makes you feel as if they are doing you a favor by talking with you. The vet that I had seems more like he wants to be somewhere else. Very importantly the vet told me some pretty dramatic information about my dog which was put like this..... it could be really bad... the dog could go blind in one eye or it could get fixed easily.... What would most people want to hear about their pet? " This could be a problem.... I would recommend going to a specialist and seeking their knowledge..... and then please let us know the outcome." Don't vets care about the animals they treat? It made me sad then I thought I would let others know so they can make the best decision for themselves. Hopefully the hospital will read this and understand. Meant to help improve.

We switched to Harris Hill a few years ago - We have had great service for both our dogs. Great Staff- we also have boarded are dogs there. Prices are cheaper than Lancaster small animal hospital.

I went to get in a second opinion and I stayed as a permanet client, the staff actually did a consultation over the phone at no cost at all, when I went in they were very friendly and exprtemely understanding of my situation since I had a bad experience at a previous hospital where they just wanted to put my dog to sleep. At Harris Hill the Dr took a really long time examining him, it was the most complete exam I had ever witnessed, he explained the condition, the prognosis and the medication, he also discovered something the other Dr has missed that was potentially life threatening, but he ease my fears explaining the condition and answering all my questions. I am sorry that the previous reviewer had such a bad experience, I did was asked about Heart worm and Flea Prevention medicines. I left Harris Hill with a complete understanding of my dog's condition, feeling calm about his prognosis and it only cost me 44 dollars.

ive gone to a few animal hospitals in my day.. and never have i left feeling so unaccomplished. apon first arriving at the animal hospital, the desk clerks made me feel as though i was a pain to them with the questions/concerns i had with my pet. even in the exam room i felt like it was my responsibility to remind the vet of the routine procedures that needed to be done. very rarely was any sort of friendliness used during any discussion. especially by the receptionists. while paying i felt looked down apon as though i was not "good enough" to be in their practice. once in my car i began realizing all of the things that were never even brought to my attention in the patient room. such as heart worm meds or flea medication. i understand this is all a courtesy.. but i just feel as though the practice is not very pleased to deal with new customers. they didnt make me feel welcomed or reassured that my puppy was in good hands. i recieved very minimal service and don't plan on returning.
