Every department is very helpful and friendly but when I went to cash out I was VERY disappointed! The cashiers were very rude and dismissive, and I was very tempted to speak with the manager about it. A few of the younger girls had their cell phones out and showed no professionalism. The older woman at the registers was reading a newspaper with her back to the customers, completely disregarding them! It's a shame that the cashiers are poorly representing the great service given by the other departments. Don't know if I'll be returning mainly because of how poorly I was treated by the cashiers who seemed to have better things to do than assist PAYING customers.

Needed a part for a Kohler toilet. Got help from a very knowledgeable and polite young man. Totally impressed with the store and employees. Will definitely do business there again. Thank You.

This is a wonderful store! The gift Dept. is awesome. Mt visiting daughter-in-law wondered why I sent her to a hardware store while she was here. She ended up spending over $100! She loved it. The folks that work there are very helpful and friendly. We also use their plumbing dept.

I had my sewer line back up into my basement with 2" of standing sewage. This had happened two years ago and I called a plumper that a friend recommended. He charged me $300 to snake the line from the house to the street, and tried to scare me into letting him replace the line for $4,500. He said the line is made of clay and needed replacing because it would cave in within weeks of snaking it. Fast forward 2 years, and it happened again today, so I called Ed Young's. They were at my door in two hours. Their estimate was the same as their price $180. There guys that came out could feel my pain. when I asked about having the line replaced he said it was roots from the trees, and it is cheaper to clean out the line once a year than replacing it. I highly recommend EY on price and service. Chris from Tristan lane, Williamsville.
No question but Ed Youngs True Value store can't compare with big box hardware and supply stores. Personalized, friendly service and helpful staff all over the store. It's the hardware store of 50 years ago but with today's up to the minute merchandise and knowledge of their products. And I absolutely love the gift and home decor sections, unique items not found in other stores!
I've bought lawnmowers to light bulbs at this store, and am always happy with the products. The rare times that I don't know what I am doing, their staff has the correct answers and city code knowledge that I need. Their small engine service is wonderful and fair. Their paint is of the best you can get. Their staff isn't aggressive to help you but they are quick to drop what they are doing to help me with my questions. I recommend this store even over other True Value stores. Something about Ed Young's is very special. (love Mike)
