- UrologyDr. Mayer received his training at the University Autonomous of Guadalajara School of Medicine in Mexico. He received his Fifth Pathway Training at Downstate Medical Center, New York. He received training in surgery at State University of New York, StonyBrook. He received training in urology at University of Minnesota and University of Washington. He completed his Residency in Family Medicine at Medical College of Wisconsin, the extension in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and was recertified in 1997, 2004 and 2015. He is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Sports MedicineDr. Mayer believes in combining genetic, environmental, physical and psychological factors equally into the care of each patient. His practice gives him time for personal patient care, focusing on preventative medicine. He enjoys being able to care for patients as they transition through different stages of life. Like all family physicians, he treats people of all ages from cradle to grave. His special interests include minor surgery and sports medicine.
