Marty Zalla founded Building Crafts in 1960. The company started as a general contracting firm, moving to specialize in water and wastewater treatment in the early 1970s. It provides treatment plant services including design, building, construction as well as facility maintenance and repair. Building Crafts is licensed in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and West Virginia. The company serves clients ranging from small municipalities like Shelbyville, Ky., to major corporations such as General Mills. New employees must attend eight hours of safety training before entering any job site. Building Crafts is headquartered in Wilder, Ky., with a second location in Blountville, Tenn.
