My husband and I just purchased our first house in Sixteen Acres, MA. We hired an inspector from Building Inspector of America and were assured that we bought a structurally sound home for us and out 2 small children. Two weeks into moving in we had to gut our bathroom, a wall collapsed on us from rot and we have a leaky roof and were told by three roofing companies our roof was no good. The inspector took blame for it at first- now wants nothing to do with us. The owner of the company hangs up on us- the inspector no longer answers our calls. I reccomend that no one do buisness with them. We cannot even get our $400 back. I notified the attorney general and the better buisness bureau so hopefully these unprofessional inspectors will no longer be in buisness to fraud another innocent family into buying a unsafe household.
