McCollom Elementary School, established in 1960, provides special education programs for children identified with autism spectrum disorder. The school also offers before- and after-school and gifted and talented education programs. Its parent-teacher association and site council sponsors tutoring programs, fundraising events and parent-teacher meetings. McCollom Elementary School s fine arts department provides classes in art and vocal and instrumental music to kindergarten through fifth grade students. The school s academic curriculum includes subjects, such as English, math, science, social studies, language arts and physical education. Located in Wichita, Kan., its facilities include a computer lab, library, cafeteria and playground. McCollom Elementary School is a part of Wichita Public Schools.
