The East Whittier City School District operates several elementary, middle and high schools that offer education to more than 8,500 students in kindergarten through grade 12. Its schools offer various activities, including tutorial sessions, field trips and cultural programs. The schools within the district provide educational programs in music, language arts, math, English, science, social studies, physical education, business and creative writing. Its schools organize various athletic activities that include football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, tennis, baseball, cross-country, and track and field. Each district school has a library and media center that provides a variety of print and electronic resources. Its schools offer membership opportunities in the National Honor Society and a variety of extracurricular activities, such as band, chorus, and yearbook, environmental and chess clubs.
