The center s dual diagnosis program treats adolescent males and females of ages 12 to 17 year old, who struggle with alcohol and drug addiction, depression, anxiety disorders, abuse, grief, sexual acting out, failing at school, emotional issues and other self-injurious behaviors. This is a great place for troubled kids. Our 14 year old son has made great improvements in his attitude and behavior. The staff is friendly and the therapist he has is the best we have found in the Los Angeles area. The family group sessions are extremely helpful for the kids and the parents and the success stories that you hear from the kids after treatment are very heart warming. I highly recommend the Whittier facility.

Do not take your children here. Parents, I urge you to find somwhere else.. Do your research and try to find something. The so called councilors that are with your children 24 hours a day are kids themselves barely out of high school that have a power struggle going on and love to torment your kids. And their phase sytem is not based on if your child is doing well with the eating disorder, but if they are showering or getting up on time. This place is a joke and I regret ever taking my daughter here!
