Met Dr. Gieche in May 2013. Called to our campsite for an emergency. Was starting on a trip with family, but turned back for us. Great care taken for our horse's injury. Prognosis was spot-on in the horse's healing progression. Info provided by him was more than we could absorb, but better to be told more than less. Recommended.

Amazing vet, amazing man, top notch care! I use him for my own horses and also He is the main vet for a large breeding barn in WI, he is just amazing! He explains everything so you can understand, does not push unneeded tests and what not, he is as straight and upfront as could be, he isnt out to make money off ya, he just enjoys what he does and is the best of the best!

One word for this Vet "Top Notch" This fellow has years of experience and it shows, capable as they come and I have dealt with allot of vets. His stable-side manner is exceptional. His owner/vet communication skills and sensitivity second to non. He is the only vet I have run into that 1. offers multi solutions/suggestions to treatment/care 2. Shows up every time within a day on non emergency/ and within 2 hrs for emergency calls. Every time I have called him he is either finishing up a call and on on the way or ,,,, jumping into his mobile van as we speak. This fellow does not drag is feet on anything. I dont think he takes vacations...A major plus is that he is a Solo vet, no delay in decisions on care between docs..he calls it on the spot and no time wasted. His passion for his profession seems tireless and nothing short of professional and Effective !!! If he ever retires we will be at a major loss in this area. Dr. Gieche is an exceptional vet and is also just a pleasant person. His knowledge and passion about equine dentistry and medicine are wonderful. He diagnosed properly on one exam a tooth problem one of my horses has had, apparently, for somewhat over 2 years. Several other veterinary visits (other veterinarians) for dental care in that time span failed to identify the problem, even though the symptoms I described each time had not changed. If you suspect a problem with your horse, consider having Dr. Gieche out and get a really, really thorough examination!

Great vet! My horse's teeth had not been well maintained prior to me getting him and Dr. John was really great and explained it to me. He also gave sugestions as to the health background that may be causing some weight loss in my senior horse. He's understanding and doesn't push all the tests and tries to think fiscally. Over all very nice, knowledgeable and a great vet.
