Meredith Gorton Counseling Services I am happy to announce the opening of Meredith Gorton Counseling Services, a mental health counseling service in Whitesboro. My practice is currently open and ready to provide services. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with three years of experience providing community mental health counseling. I provide services to children, adolescents, and adults to overcome behavioral and emotional issues. I have experience working with individual, group, family, and couples counseling. In my role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I work with clients and their families to provide support, counseling, information, and referral to people who are experiencing difficulties with their mental health. I use cognitive behavioral therapy and strength based approach in order to empower individuals to make positive changes to their lives. I am also a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked as a mental health nurse with children, adolescence, and adults. I graduated from New York Institute of Technology with my Bachelors degree in Psychology and from Walden University with my Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling. I am currently pursuing my PH.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision.
