I live in Kalispell and as a massage therapist, always wanted to go to the Spa at The Lodge in Whitefish. I booked an hour and a half deep tissue session, $145.00. My female therapist was dressed in plain brown hospital-type scrubs, and all 3 female therapists I saw there were pretty plain looking, are they told NOT to wear makeup? Decent deep tissue work. She never asked if she could adjust the face cushion for my neck and didn't remove the bolster before I got off the table. I could hear clients and therapists talking in the hall during the session, a little distracting. Never asked me what type of music I would prefer. I enjoyed the warm, moist towels, but she failed to first let me know they had peppermint added and that after the warmth wore off, it would have a cooling effect. You have to give them a credit card to reserve the appointment. Pretty elitist attitude at the counter. When I asked for deeper pressue she did oblige, and did turn up the table warmer when asked.

I find the spa to be over-priced, the desk staff to have an "elitist" attitude, especially the person with dark hair who runs the spa desk. The reception is cold and unwelcoming, making me and my party of friends feel as though we are doing "them" a favor! Met the owner and all I can say about her is she is desperately out of touch with client needs and customer service. It is the staff there is cold and impersonal, which seems to come directly from the top down. I definitely will not recommend this spa to my friends. It's a shame, too......we travel to Montana to our second home for 4-5 months out of the year and the one therapist we loved working with is no longer there. No reason for us to return now.Buyer beware.........
