He has won The Teaching Allergist of the Year Award in the year 2011, which is the highest honor for a practicing allergist awarded by the conjoined board of American Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology (AAAAI), and, American College of Asthma, Allergy & Immunology (ACAAI). He is a long standing member of these prestigious organizations. He is also a Fellow of AAAAI.
