Wharton Independent School District provides a wide range of educational services and learning opportunities to communities based in Wharton, Texas. The district governs and operates Wharton High School, Wharton Junior High, Dawson Elementary School, Sivells Elementary School and Hopper Elementary School. Its high school offers classes from grades nine through 12, and junior high school operates from grades kindergarten through eight. The district is fully accredited by the Texas Education Agency. It offers a wide range of subjects in its curriculum, including English, math, science, history, social science, world languages, visual and performing arts, agriculture, vocational and physical education, and elective options.
